Every year, the Metropolitan Business Association (MBA) of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce presents the Pride Gala. These pride and business awards celebrate and support businesses that serve, support, and celebrate Central Florida’s LGBTQ community. This year, edgefactory was honored to help the Pride Gala take shape. We produced video and multimedia content along with live performances for the 2016 Pride Gala: Pride and Business Awards!

Ashley Brundage, Vice President of the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at PNC Bank was there, and has this to say about the experience: “I had the pleasure of attending the Pride Gala, and the event experience was amazing! From the high quality video production to the entertainment, this event set the bar extremely high. I sure hope I attend an event like this in the future.”

Edgefactory Shapes The Pride Gala

edgefactory provided sponsor loops, walk-in looks, the opening video, awards program videos, and synchronized video backdrops for live entertainment — collectively displayed on three multimedia screens. We also directed and staged the performances, lighting, and audio for the event at the Sheraton Orlando North. We managed the flow and created the atmosphere for the event including the walk-in music, and lighting transforming an old, boring hotel banquet hall into a truly unique and exciting event space.

Attendee Daniel P. Waldron, Property Manager at Orlando Resorts Rental, noted that “the entire event was so much more cohesive than the previous year and had a great flow. 2016 was going to be my last year participating if things didn’t turn around from previous years. The work that edgefactory did completely changed my perspective and I look forward to next year’s event with great excitement.”

Pride Gala

At edgefactory, we love highlighting all the wonderful individuals and organizations that make the LGBTQ community in Orlando so vibrant. Pulling together to celebrate LGBTQ diversity and to support one another’s businesses is more important than ever in the wake of the Pulse nightclub incident, and to that end we were humbled to present a tribute video that was seen by the surgeons in attendance who assisted victims, friends, and families after the event. Our intention was to create a program that sticks with and inspires attendees day after day and year after year. The evening’s entertainment included performers Blue Star, Tod Kimbro, the Orlando Gay Chorus.
