DYNAMIC VIDEO ADDS A CREATIVE EDGE TO NATIONAL HEALTHCARE IT CONFERENCE
ORLANDO, Fl, March 19, 2010 – This year The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) opened its national conference in Atlanta, Ga. with significantly improved attendance. With the creative support of edgefactory OMNIMEDIA, an Orlando based video production house, this year’s program continued the innovative approach to opening the national conference with a unique branded experience. With an attendance of over 27,000 participants, HIMSS is the largest healthcare information technology conference in the U.S., bringing together health IT professionals, clinicians and exhibiting companies who are striving to improve the delivery of patient care with health information technology.
Having received national recognition for its opening program designs for HIMSS 2008 and 2009, edgefactory OMNIMEDIA continued its tradition of innovation by combining the live musical talents of SPIRIT Drum and Bugle Corps of Atlanta with video elements that encompassed 28-individual screens. In addition to the opening session, additional video integration included custom introductions for each of the featured keynote speakers; allowing HIMSS to brand each guests’ introduction with a tone and feel that continued the theme of the conference while introducing the guest in an exciting, dignified fashion. This year’s guests’ included; Dr. David Blumenthal, MD, MPP, National Coordinator for Health IT: Dan Hesse, Chief Executive Officer of Sprint Nextel Corporation; Sanjay Gupta, MD, Senior Medical Correspondent at CNN; Harry Markopolos, the Certified Fraud Investigator who spoke about Medicare fraud; and Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger, III, the pilot who landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River and founded Safety Reliability Methods.
